I am reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone By J. K. Rowling.
After I read part of chapter two, I predicted that an animal would get out when Harry went to the zoo. I predicted this because they were at the zoo and strange things always happen around Harry. And His Aunt and Uncle don't believe him when it is not his fault. My prediction was right. Harry was looking at a snake, and before he knew it, the glass on the cage disappeared. The snake slithered away and talked to Harry. The snake said, "Brazil, here I come." Harry was sent to his cupboard even though he did not even touch the cage. I also had a question while I was reading, My question was, why does Harry's Aunt and Uncle not like him?
Even though I do not know for sure, I think that Harry's Uncle and Aunt did not want to keep him in the first place. They are keeping him because his parents died in a car accident. I think this because it is mentioned in the book.
I also had another question. Why does Harry have a scar on his forehead? I don't know for sure, but I think he has a scar on his head because he was in the car accident with his parents. All Harry could remember is a green light. I learned about this when I read a couple pages and it said Aunt Petunia cut his hair and left a little bit of hair so it would cover up his scar.
I also have a word I need to clarify. The word is parchment. I think it means a heavy piece of paper. I think this because I did not know what the word meant so I asked my dad.

Callen,
ReplyDeleteNice work! This is a very good post and you've done a great job thinking about what you are reading. I would like to see you make a prediction about what will happen based on what you read LAST time.
